Reader Review of the New Avent Natural Bottle!
{Reader Courtney Gives Us the Low-Down}
Recently I offered a lucky subscriber a chance to be one of the first in the nation to try out the new Avent Natural Bottle. (Yes, this was before-stocked access!)
Specifically, I wanted to know…
- how this bottle compared to the older Avent bottles
- what she (and her infant) thought about the new sleek design
- whether she thinks these are “buy worthy” bottles or placed in the DONATE pile.
So, with these questions in mind, here’s what Courtney had to say…
I have actually used Avent bottles since she was born so she really loves them. She is almost 11 months old and was breastfed for nine months. She can hold the new bottle better than the original design.
The newer bottle also eliminates the issues of milk spilling out of the corners of her mouth as she feeds and the nipples don’t collapse like the ones on her Similac bottles do. The nipple and nipple ring actually fit on the old Avent bottles too which is a definite plus.
I would go out and buy these to replace her similac bottles, but like I said, she’s almost eleven months old. I will definitely buy these in a few years when we have baby number two.
Personally, I was relieved to hear about the whole “milk spilling out the corners of her mouth” thing, since that was a huge problem with my babies (we always had to use a chin-tucked towel).
I’m thrilled to hear that issue seems to have been solved.
Fortunately for the rest of you, the Avent Natural Bottle is now available to the public at various stores.
I found a 2-pack of their glass bottles or a 3-pack of (BPA-free) plastic bottles with discount-happy prices at Amazon.
